Product designers, engineering managers and researchers can look forward to a four-day course on 3D Capability Development commencing on 5 October 2015.
Headed by its Executive Director Dr Chua Chee Kai, this course covers the basics of 3D printing processes, their pros, cons and applications. The course also covers a workshop on 3D printing systems and observation of some 10 types of 3D printing systems at work.
On the final day, Dr Chua will touch on understanding Additive Manufacturing data, its applications and examples in industry. He will also expound on the understanding of bureau service, benchmarking methodology, growth and trends in the industry.
A multi-award winner, Dr Chua has been involved in 3D printing since 1990 and has contributed more than 200 publications in seminars, talks, conferences and other platforms.
The course is suitable for personnel who need to build prototypes for design and manufacturing, and will be held at the Singapore Centre for 3D Printing (SC3DP) at the Nanyang Technological University.
