SOLIDWORKS Innovation Day is one of the most important event for all SOLIDWORKS users in the world. Every resellers in the world will organize SWID for SOLIDWORKS Users group and everyone who are interested in SOLIDWORKS to gather and discover the latest release of SOLIDWORKS.
This year, both SEACAD and ATE Singapore made SWID2019 a success on their respective SOLIDWORKS Innovation Day 2019.
Sharing with you the highlights of both events. Starting with SEADCAD followed by ATE Singapore.
SEACAD held their SWID2019 with the theme “Unveiling SOLIDWORKS 2019 Version Infinity Redefined” on 3rd October 2018 at Joyden Hall, Bugis+.
The moment you entered the hall, the “Design Mania” session caught your attention. You can see crowd gathered around the participants taking part in the design competition. There are 4 different models for this competition, you are free to choose which model you want to challenge or you can challenge all 4 models.
Other partners’ booths at the event are Lenovo, Omron, CAMWorks and E2i. Not forgetting the Virtual Reality booth where users can play and experience it themselves as well as keeping their memories at the event by taking photos at the photo booths. Users can also sign up at the SOLIDWORKS User Group booth to keep them updated about SOLIDWORKS.
BOT the Robot from Omron is another eye-catcher in the hall, moving around in the hall displaying the promotion bundles. Sharing by Lionel, Senior Engineer from Omron, BOT the Robot is customizable; flexible design with endless configuration to manage goods transportation.
Mr. Low Hock Chuan, Senior Solutions Consultant Asia Pacific South from Dassault Systemes Professional Solutions, shared with the audiences the Proven Designs for Manufacturing and the difference between Model-based and Data Driven Digitalization for Agility.
Applauses goes to SEACAD Tech Team! Leading the show headed by Johnny, Senior Application Engineer, introducing their new office and was recalled back to office by his Technical Manager, James, to complete an urgent project. The awesome skit with video and live performance made it interesting and entertaining.
The Tech Team continue the storyline by inviting their “customer” coming to their event and answer the questions and problem raised by the customer using the “What’s New in SOLIDWORKS 2019”.
Coming next in the agenda is presentation by Mr. Sambit Pradhan, Senior Sales Director Asia Pacific from CAMWorks, sharing with the audiences the wide range of different machining modules available in CAMWorks for SOLIDWORK.
The event ended with prizes for Design Mania winners.
ATE held their SWID2019 with the theme “Innovative Design to Smart Manufacturing” on 4th October 2018 at E2i @Devan Nair Institute Hall 1 – 4.
More than 280 attendees, trade associates and partners attending the event, the 4 halls were well organized and spacious for the crowd.
Opening speech by Mr Wong Keat Tze, Executive Director of ATE, enlightened the audiences with many successful stories of the innovative design in the smart manufacturing technology. One of the innovative design is NIO ES8, a high-performance driverless electrical car in the china market.
Mr Benjamin Tan from Dassault Systemes unleash the power of 3D model with the audiences. He shared about the need to have “Better, Faster, Cheaper, Smarter and Customized Product” and the trend of moving from Drawing Centric to Model Based.
Hong Wang and William, Solution Architect and Technical Manager from ATE, shared the key factors to move up value band of product lifecycle measurement and key business strategies.
Other speakers include Mr Alden Aranzanso, Product Support Manager from Zeiss Southeast Asia, sharing the possibilities and benefits of 3D Scanning. Mr William Lee, Director Asia Pacific from Ultimaker, sharing the applications and value of Additive Manufacturing.
Mr Frederick Chong, Market Development Manager from Printing and Personal Systems, HP Inc. shared about HP 3D Innovation ranging from Design to Engineering to Virtual Reality to 3D Printing. HP also display their Virtual Reality at the booth for guests to experience.
Another not to miss at the Experience Playground is the design competition. Design Competition at SOLIDWORKS Innovation Day is one of the key agenda. It’s the day where all designers and users challenging with each other to complete the modeling in the shortest time.
Another highlight at the playground is the booth from Ultimaker.
