The Launch of Ultimaker 2+ Connect at Formnext Connect 2020

Ultimaker released Ultimaker 2+ Connect, the advanced version of Ultimaker 2 desktop 3D printer, at Formnext Connect virtual tradeshow in Frankfurt, Germany.

Formnext, happening in November every year, is the additive manufacturing tradeshow showcasing the latest innovations from 3D printer manufacturers, service providers, materials to software developers.

Ultimaker 2+ Connect, the new platform with 2.4inch color touchscreen display for easier operation and remote file transfer via Wi-Fi or Ethernet with added security from anywhere globally. You can easily switch the swappable nozzles in less than 5 minutes between 0.25mm, 0.4mm, 0.6mm and 0.8mm for detailed prints or fast drafts. This clean and updated design keeps maintenance to the minimum without the need for special tools.

Highlights of Ultimaker 2+ Connect:

  • Ultimaker Digital Factory enable sharing among co-worker increase uptime and remotely monitor the print job when its complete.
  • Ultimaker Marketplace allows customize the slicing experience with plugins (including CAD integration) for simpler 3D printing workflow.
  • Ultimaker 3D Printing Academy, is an e-learning platform, that allows users to register their Ultimaker 2+ Connect to be eligible for a free onboarding course.
  • Ultimaker 2+ Connext Air Manager includes a single-speed fan to efficiently pull air through a large EPA filter and also fully covers the build chamber with front enclosure for a more stable printing environment, prevent anyone from touching the hot and moving components.
